About

A studio that builds for itself first.

Hearthworks, LLC is a United States–based independent software studio. We design, build, and operate web and mobile applications end-to-end — funded by the work itself, not by clients. We build for ourselves first, because the best software tends to come from teams who use what they make every day.

We're a small group, and we plan to stay that way. Our work is intentionally narrow: a handful of products we care about, built carefully, and supported for the long-term by the people who made them.

Use what we make

Every product we ship is one we use ourselves. If we wouldn't reach for it on a regular day, it isn't ready.

Independence by design

We're funded by our work. No clients, no investors — just a small studio answering to the people who pay for our software.

Built to last

We'd rather support a small product for ten years than launch a new one every quarter. Durability is a feature.

House Cup

In development

Family · iOS, Android, and the web

House Cup is a family point system for tracking children's behavior, chores, and achievements. Parents define what matters in their household, kids see their progress on a friendly scoreboard, and the whole family gets a shared, lightweight way to celebrate the everyday wins. We're currently preparing the first release for the App Store, Google Play, and the web.
